Your Identity!
Who is your identity in? Do you identify yourself with you first or last name, the color of your skin, your gender, your career, your amount of wealth and success, the car you drive, your education, or your health? I write in all seriousness. The Father is reminding me as I write this that all flesh has been condemned from the beginning, for it is written in John 3:18, "He who believes in him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already." Also, in Romans 8:1, "There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ." It is important to realize that believing and being in Jesus, is a question of identity and relationship. Our salvation is dependent on our relationship with God and his Son Jesus. If we have been made one with him, then our identity should only be in Him. Paul writes to us that "I am crucified with Christ, no longer do I live, but it is Christ that lives in me." If you are here to do your will, your identity is in self, however, if you are sent to do the Father's will, your identity will be in his Son Yeshua (Jesus). If you are in Christ, it is no longer about what you are doing. John the Baptist confessed, "I must decrease and you must increase!" We all have Jesus as our example who said, "I can only do what my Father does, I can only say what my Father says." He most certainly remained in the Father's works. Jesus even said that if you have seen Him, you have seen the Father. The two have been made one. The same confession is required of us. If we are crucified with Christ, we no longer live, but Jesus in and through us. If we are Yeshua, Him being the vine and we the branches, then we are one with the Father. Let you identify be only in Christ Jesus, for that is the only name in which there is Salvation! I leave you with this: Will you be a nameless and faceless generation, that manifests the Glory of God and Salvation through his Son Jesus?
