Made To Worship
Yes, we are made to worship him. The word “Worship” in Hebrew is made of the characters Shin and Chet. The Ancient Hebrew Pictograph shows us that as we worship, “we destroy the wall of separation.” We are joined to our Father, but our will is what can take us in a separate direction. We know that our thoughts are not his thoughts and our ways are not his ways (Isaiah 55:8), but by diligently seeking Him, the two can become one. As we worship God, we begin to honor and reverence Him, removing our own agendas and laying aside personal ambitions. The word “Obey” in Hebrew also uses the character Shin. There is a great similarity between worshipping God and obeying God. If we love God, we will obey his commandments, when we obey, we worship and walls come down! We must worship God in spirit and in truth. We are told in Romans 8:1 that we must walk after spirit to be in Christ, for God is a spirit. So as we offer up our worship to the Father, remember to be mindful of what He is speaking over your life and to be mindful/obedient.
