Anointed One...
I absolutely love the song “Anointing, fall on me, anointing, fall on me, let the power of the holy ghost fall on me, anointing fall on me.” Some are more sensitive to anointing than others. You may have heard people ask “Do you feel that anointing.” While it is true, anointing can be felt or discerned, it focuses more on an act, other than a feeling. Take what we learned about the name Jesus (Salvation of God) and think of it being put to action, this is anointing. Isaiah 61:1 is says “The Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek, he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those that are bound.” Anointing is associated with action and doing work. The ancient Hebrew pictographs support this claim. Anointing is the Hebrew words Mem, Shin, and Chet. We are provided the image of the blood tearing down the walls of separation. Mem and Chet mean to draw out or lift up! In the name of Jesus Christ, we are anointed to carry on the work of the Father.
