What is a MARK?
Anyone that has grown up in the Church has heard of the "Mark of the Beast." The majority of Christians believe it to be a computer chip that will be embedded in your hand or head. There are a multitude of scholars that are guessing what this mark is and when it will appear before the people. However, few have broken apart the actual meaning of what a "mark" and a "beast" is. This "Pearl" will explain what a mark is exactly and what it means to be a beast. The Ancient Hebrew symbol for the cross is Tav. The symbol for the cross has been used for thousands of years before Christ was crucified. It means a mark/covenant/sign. The word that stands out the most in association with having a mark is a covenant. A covenant is an agreement. So let's begin the breakdown. If you have a mark, you have a covenant, which is an agreement. The question for us all is "What have we agreed to do with our life?" Next, we have the word "beast." What is a beast? A beast refers to your flesh and carnal desires. Let's put the two together. A mark of a beast is someone that has a covenant with their flesh. That means they agree to follow after the desires of their flesh, and flesh is the basis for all their decisions. As to having a mark in your hand or forehead, hands represent your work and your mind is your thoughts. Will we seek after the works of the flesh or the works of the Father? Will we meditate on things that are above or things that are carnal? Remember this, Romans 8:6, "a carnal mind is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace!" We are born into this fleshly body that has the nature of a beast. This is why we must be born again (John 3:3). If we do not take our identity in Yahshua and his mindset, we are automatically coming into agreement with our flesh, which is the Mark of the Beast and already condemned. May we take the Mark of Yahshua and take our identity in Him and Him alone. For how can two walk together, lest they be in agreement (Amos 3:3). I pray we continue to remain in agreement with Yahshua and bear His mark, as he continues to INTERCEDE on our behalf.
