Many things can be said of prophecy.  In the world today, we see a variety of things that can be mistakenly called prophecy.  It is time to end this confusion that is bringing every evil work into the church.  Let's start with what is not prophecy.  If someone tells you your name, phone number, and everything about you, that is not prophecy.  If someone tells you what type of prosperous future you shall have, this is not prophecy.  In Revelation 19:10, we are told "The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ." Prophecy has everything to do with Jesus (Yahshua), nothing else.  Most importantly, prophecy reveals who Jesus is in YOU!  When we bear witness to who Jesus is in someone else, we are operating in the spirit of prophecy.  John, who wrote the book of Revelation, saw in the Ancient Hebrew that the word for prophecy was written with the letters Nun (Seed/Sperm/Word/Jesus) and Beyt (House/The Body).  This reveals to us that prophecy adheres to the revealing of Christ in us.  The seed is God's living Word on the inside of you, which is his house, where he dwells.  Allow me to reiterate, that prophets are not called to tell you about your new house, spouse, car, job, or any other material object.  They are called to unveil who you are in Jesus and that you are a great member of his body, of which He is the head.  Remembers saints, it is all about Jesus and that prophecy will help you grow in Christ and help develop the Christ that you are.  Be blessed...
