To Oppose and Turn Against!
Who is Satan? Is he a red, devil-horned, pitch-forked wieldling, fiery-foe? What has religion taught you? Let's take a look at what the Father says about Satan. "Satan" is word H7853, meaning to be an adversary, oppose, resist, and to turn against. When we analyze the word in Ancient Hebrew, when are given 3 symbols: Samekh (Thorn/Rod), Tet (Surround), Nun (Seed/Word/Yahshua). In the Ancient Hebrew Satan is a Rod that surrounds the Word of God and Tests/Tries /Refines the Word of God. Satan was created just as Darkness was created for a purpose in forming the Light. However, just because an adversary was created as an opposing force that tests the Sons of God, that does not mean we should turn against the plan of God for our life. Yahshua told Peter in Matthew 16:23 to "Get behind me Satan" because his plans at the time were against the plans of the Father. Peter did not want Yahshua do be crucified, as compassionate as Peter was trying to be, he did not realize what God's perfect will was at the time. His ignornance lead him to oppose and resist God's will, thus making him an Adversary and a Satan. Yahshua called him a Satan because that was what he was based on his actions, an adversary to God's plans. In order to not be a "Satan," we must know what God's will is for our life. Yet fear not, if you are seeking him with all of your heart, know that you are in his perfect will. If you have asked for his perfect will, you have received it! Now let us walk in it daily and continue to grow in our relationship with the Father. Often I pray "May I know your perfect will Father, to remain in agreement and walk with you, not against you, all the days of my life. Let me be willing and obedient to the call on my life. Remind me when I am off-track and do not let me hinder the move of your Spirit." Amen.
