Role of the Bride
The Church has said over the years that it is all about a wedding day and that we are the bride. We are the bride that is Christ. It is the bride that walks with God in an intimate relationship. A bride is one that loses her maiden name to take on the name and identity of her beloved. Revelation 21:9 tells us "I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." This phrase is revealing to us that to become the Bride of Christ we are to become as Lambs of God. The word for wife is G1135 gune, which is from the base of G1096 ginomai, which means to become, fufill, arise, grow, assemble, and cause to be. We cannot become the Bride of Christ if we do not first become as lambs that are a living sacrifice. The Father is waiting for the manifestation of his Bride, those that will birth the New Creation. We can see the importance of the bride by looking into the Ancient Hebrew. The word for "bride" in Hebrew is kallah. In the Ancient Hebrew, it is written with the symbols of Kaf (A hand that tames) and Lamed (Staff that teaches). Together they can mean to "Tame the Yolk and ultimately breaking the Yolk/Yoke." Yahshua as the Bride is the one that is anointed to break the yoke, tame the beast, bring salvation to our God, be his resurrection, which is the bread of life! The Creature is awaiting the manifestation of the Bride, who has laid down everything and put on GLORY!
