Men as Trees
Why are we told in Mark 8:24 "I see men as trees, walking?" We are told this because the Bible uses trees as a symbol for mankind. God is wanting us to produce fruit, which is manifesting his character and letting His light shine through us. The word "trees" is ets, H6086, can mean spine and counsel according to the Ancient Hebrew. We are the counsel of God and of man, if we are trees of life. Isaiah 40:13-14 asks "Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counsellor hath taught him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and tuaght him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?" That is an excellent question. Who also has an intimate relationship with the Father and knows his heart? He "worketh all things after the counsel of his own will" (Ephesians 1:11). This refers to his inner circle, those that are one with Yahshua and the Father. This is proven in 1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ." This verse is stating that we are his counsel if we have put on the mind of Christ! When we look at the word "Tree" in Ancient Hebrew, we are given the symbols Ayin (Experience), Tsade (Journey), and Hey (Man). There is a dynamic understanding hidden in the revelation of trees which describes our journey. Think of the Father as the trunk of a tree, followed by his Sons which are the thick branches, and the Church as the leaves and smaller limbs. We are His Tree of Life and we are all connected as One. Those that are taking on their identity as the Father, are in the process of becoming his trunk and counsel. Out of them flows the Living Word and his Heart/Desire for His people. We are all so connected, no true Sons are ministering what they want, but rather what is given to them that comes from the Father. Lastly, if we were to be cut off from this tree, we would with away and not bear any fruit. In Him, do we live, move, and breathe. Amen...
