Giving Thanks
Giving thanks is one of the most powerful things we can do! We may not know the spiritual implications of what this means. I was led to study the word "thanks," which is Strong's H3034 Yadah. The ancient Hebrew tells us the word is formed from the letters Yod (Hand) and Dalet (Door). They combine to form the pictograph of opening a door. Contrary to this, complaining will cause doors to be shut for us. The Israelites learned this the hard way. Many never reached the promised land because they were murmuring and refused to give thanks. This attitude caused them to roam the wilderness for 40 years. If we desire to have new opportunities and new doors open, in accordance with God's perfect will, we must continually give thanks. This is the power of giving thanks! May God open up every door of blessing by us giving thanks continually. Yes, that's right, in all things give thanks. May we do this continually and reap the benefits according to the riches and glory in Christ Jesus. That's right, let everyday be a day of Thanksgiving. Amen.
