From Dad to Father
If you were born, there a great chance you had a biological dad. However, whether or not there was a Father present in your life may be another conversation. "Dad" is a noun or a title. A "Father" is not only a title, but a verb as well. If a dad desires to be cover and lead his children, he will father them. God wants man that brings children into this world to be their dad and to father them according to his Word. Not every man of the house may know what it means to "Father" according to God's word. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 6:4 "Fathers, provoke not our children to wrath: but bring them up in the nuture and admonition of the Lord." This means to guide them and provide wise counsel. Now let us look at what the definition of a Father is in Ancient Hebrew. The Ancient Hebrew provides the definition of the word for "Father" within the spelling. "Father" in Hebrew, which is H1 Ab, is spelled with the pictures Aleph (Strong/Leader) and Beyt (House/Family). Were you able to peace it together? When these two pictures are placed together we have the word for "Father," which is the strong leader of a household and family. The father is not only strong but capable of leading his family in the right direction, ensuring their safety, health, and prosperity. God is wonderful at placing his expectations in Ancient Hebrew and often providing definitions hidden in the word itself. If you are a dad, it is never to late to become a father and become the strong leader of your family. If for whatever reason a dad is separated from his family, he can still father them in the spirit and pray that God be a constant covering and guide in their life. May God forever continue to Father us in the spirit, and be the strong leader in our life. Amen!
