Flesh: A Necessary Evil
The flesh is a term with many meanings throughout the Word of God. It is closely related to manna (bread of life), a portion, believing, and time. The root of the word “flesh” comes from Mem and Nun, which represent the “Blood Continues.” The flesh must be overcome, in fact it already was through the cross. The flesh is enmity to God (Romans 8:7) and represents everything that the Father wants conquered through the Mind of Christ. The flesh is an enemy to the Cross, and the Sons of God will continue to multiply as they crucify their flesh by carrying their cross daily (Luke 9:23). As we submit our lives to God and bring forth fruit, he puts us through a process of pressure. Imagine how you remove the seeds from a fruit, you must crush or slice open the fruit to get to the seed. Our flesh is a type of fruit that God is removing the Seed from. Even a seed must die and dry up in order for it to sprout. So much is hidden in the flesh and through the conquering of the flesh, the Will of God, Word of God, Sons of God, will continue. Without the flesh, the Sons of God could not be manifested. The Creature waiteth for the manifestation of the Sons of God, and as we overcome the flesh, we attribute light, life, righteousness, salvation, and glory to God the Father. When Jesus said “only believe,” he was saying let the Word of God take root in you and continue to produce God’s perfect Will in the Earth.
